CHM members are invited to learn more about the history and significance of the Bronzeville neighborhood with Bernard Turner, executive director of the Bronzeville-Black Metropolis National Heritage Area.
A Chicago landmark since 1997, the Black Metropolis National Heritage Area contains the Black Metropolis Historic District, consisting of eight historic buildings, and one monument, as well as the homes of entrepreneurs, Civil Rights activists, cultural, and scientific icons, as well as a Civil War Union Army camp.
