As a run-up to the Chicago Air and Water Show, the Chicago History Museum is celebrating Navy Week with a series of activations, screenings of Heroes on Deck: World War II on Lake Michigan, a performance by Navy Band Great Lakes, and more!

SCHEDULE

Tuesday, August 6

2:30–3:30 p.m. – Screening of Heroes on Deck: World War II on Lake Michigan. 1st floor, Robert R. McCormick Theater. Free with Museum admission.

6:30–8:00 p.m. – Navy Band Great Lakes performance featuring the music of John Philip Sousa. Outdoors, Museum plaza. Free and open to the public.

Wednesday, August 7

10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. – Learn about naval history with displays, photographs, publications, and artifacts from Naval History and Heritage Command. Meet naval historians as they highlight Chicago’s history of naval aviation and the history of submarines. 1st floor, Kovler Family Lobby. Free and open to the public.

2:30–3:30 p.m. – Screening of Heroes on Deck: World War II on Lake Michigan. 1st floor, Robert R. McCormick Theater. Free with Museum admission.

Thursday, August 8
