President's Circle Event

Behind the scenesThe Museum's first-ever President's Circle reception was held June 19, 2008. This exciting opportunity included visits with our curatorial staff, tours of our collection storage areas, and viewing of some of the Museum's treasures currently hidden from view. This event was only available to our most generous donors.

Making History Awards

On May 15, 2008, the Chicago Historical Society hosted the 14th Annual Making History Awards at the Chicago History Museum. The largest and most important annual fundraising event of the year, the 2008 Making History Awards celebrated the accomplishments of five extraordinary awardees that have each left their mark on this city. This year's honorees included business entrepreneur W. James Farrell, civic leader Sue Gin, educator Hanna Gray, the late jazz legend Franz Jackson, and corporate innovator Abbott. Thank you to all of our sponsors and contributors who made our evening a wonderful success.
