Public Tours
Let our knowledgeable and engaging volunteers provide an additional dimension to your Museum experience with a guided exhibition tour.
Public exhibition tours include gallery
overviews and highlights, and last less than an hour. Tour topics vary;
currently tours are being offered for four exhibitions:
- Chicago: Crossroads of America
- Bertha Honoré Palmer
- Abraham Lincoln Transformed
- Benito Juárez and the Making of Modern Mexico
Public tours, free with Museum admission, occur nearly each day of the week. Contact 312.642.4600 to confirm the time and topic for the day of your visit.

Refund Policy:
Refunds for a tour will be given in the form of tour credit which can
be applied to another tour. Credit will be given with a minimum of two
weeks notice prior to the day of the tour. No exceptions.
Sign Language Interpretation:
The Chicago History Museum is happy to offer sign language
interpretation at any of its public programs. Please contact the Public
Programs Manager, at least 48 hours prior to the day of the event in
