This election year, it is always important to make your vote count, whether you are a regular voter or casting your ballot for the very first time. To help inform your important decision, hear a fascinating panel discussion with leading journalists and scholars on the upcoming presidential election. Then watch the televised McCain/Obama debates and the Biden/Palin vice presidential debate with Chicago Sun-Times journalist Laura Washington.

Fur or faux? Eco-friendly or everyday? What kind of fashion statement do you make? Join journalist Laura Washington as she moderates a panel that will explore the growing relationship between political movements, ethics, and the clothes we wear everyday.
The Politics of Fashion is one of many programs associated with the exhibition Chic Chicago: Couture Treasures from the Chicago History Museum.

Fashion Chicago Style

Join fashion industry icons for a discussion with African American style makers about their work and the Chicago fashion industry. Panelists include Barbara Bates, Barbara Samuels, Leigh Jones, and Reginald Thomas. Presented in partnership with The HistoryMakers, the nation's largest African American oral history archive.

Refunds for a tour will be given in the form of tour credit which can be applied to another tour. Credit will be given with a minimum of two weeks notice prior to the day of the tour. No exceptions.
