The largest cemetery in Chicago, Rosehill is also one of the oldest and holds the graves of numerous Chicago mayors, Civil War generals and soldiers, and business tycoons such as Oscar Mayer, Montgomery Ward, and Richard Sears.

Oak Woods Cemetery

On Chicago's South Side sits Oak Woods Cemetery, home to the graves of many renowned Chicagoans, such as Mayors “Big Bill” Thompson and Harold Washington, Olympian Jesse Owens, civil rights activist Ida B. Wells, crime boss “Big Jim” Colosimo, and physicist Enrico Fermi.

Bohemian National Cemetery

5255 N. Pulaski Road
Founded as a last resting place for people of Czech descent, Bohemian National is a national landmark and recognized for its variety of architectural styles. Among the more than 116,000 people buried in the cemetery are several World War I and Spanish-American War soldiers, and Mayor Anton Cermak, the most prominent Bohemian citizen of his time.

The White City
