For the past five years, the Costume Council of the Chicago History Museum has hosted the Chicago Men’s Fashion Awards. The CMFA's mission is to honor the city’s best-dressed men and to raise awareness and support for the Museum’s Costume Collection. The Costume Council, and arm of CHM, conserves and preserves the 50,000-piece costume and textile collection which includes important pieces worn by former presidents, first ladies, sports stars, celebrities, and more.
While we are unable to host an in-person event this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we’re keeping the tradition alive by highlighting ten past winners who are giving back to the community in meaningful ways. Instead, this year, the CMFA's will be a digital campaign to support and raise funds for the Costume Council.
The campaign will highlight ten of Chicago’s most stylish and philanthropic men through a handsome series of photos by award-winning photographer Sandro Miller. This fashion editorial will be published digitally starting on Monday, September 14 through Sunday, September 20. Two Superstar profiles will be featured daily for a week on the Costume Council's webpage and social media platforms. Viewers will get to know each of these Superstars individually, who they are, and how they are giving back to our community during one of the most challenging times in recent history.
